Repentance ✝️

LESSON

Repentance

Have you truly been convicted of the fact that to God, because of your Sin, in His eyes, you are a pathetic, undeserving, filthy, lying, self-loving, stubborn, self-satisfied, self-driven, self governing, egotistical, non-God fearing, man/woman, by following the ways of the world and ALL that is in it. That you need forgiveness for these sins.

Until you meet and find Christ.

  • It’s only by looking at us, through His only Sons eyes, by his crucifixion and sacrifice and payment for our sinful debt…

That He can begin to see us clearly as His children, his heirs, as children of light and not darkness.

Without Christ, we would ALL be destined for Hell.

That is why we Repent, because we understand, that we are so undeserving of the free gift that God has given us through His Son. We have done nothing to earn it.

That Jesus deserved nothing, of the pain, suffering and torment, that he endured for me. He did this so that He can live with me, and Love me, for All of eternity.

Repentance is a change, a conviction of both heart and mind, followed by a change in actions and or behaviour...

Christ invites us to be a part of, and share in His Life, His death and resurrection.

To be able to live an abundant life on earth with both Him and God, and spend eternity with them, in Heaven.

As a Parent, you discipline your children because you Love them.

Those whom I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.
Revelation 3:19

God wants us to Repent, to avoid being disciplined because that is what he must do with us when we sin or turn away, discipline us.

Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you.
Deuteronomy 8:5

Stern discipline awaits anyone who leaves the path; the one who hates correction will die.
Proverbs 15:10

Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.
Proverbs 10:17

because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.
Proverbs 3:12

“Blessed is the one whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.
Job 5:17

Like any Child who misbehaves, there are always consequences for actions.

I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

Luke 15:7

Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.

Revelation 2:5

God is not pleased when someone fails to recognise their need to Repent. Negative behaviours, don’t go unrecognised. It is generally someone in denial or disobedience, who doesn’t see the need.

For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live!

Ezekiel 18:32

Don’t forget the price of Sin is Death, eternally. Keep yourself in constant check. Be aware that you are a Saint who sins, you are not God.

From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”

Matthew 4:17

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,

Acts 3:19

and if they have a change of heart in the land where they are held captive, and repent and plead with you in the land of their captivity and say, ‘We have sinned, we have done wrong and acted wickedly’;

2 Chronicles 6:37

Therefore, this is what the Lord says: “If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them.

Jeremiah 15:19

“When they sin against you—for there is no one who does not sin.”

2 Chronicles 6:36

Everyone sins.

Except God and Christ…

  • Repentance is a sign, an agreement, of our continued Faith in Christ. Saying sorry and acknowledging that we have done wrong in God’s eyes.

  • If you did something wrong to family or friends, you would be quick to rectify the situation, to repair and restore the relationship.

  • By Saving us, through his crucifixion and resurrection, knowing that we are saved by Grace, gives us the ability to apologise and move on with things, without being held back by guilt.

We have been forgiven for our sons, once and for all…

None of us are were worthy, to fellowship with our Holy and Unblemished God, in His Kingdom, in the Sinful state of our non-heavenly bodies.

He forgave us, so we can approach the Royal throne, with confidence and in Love.

Being made clean and purified, Holy and without Blemish, washed White in the blood of the Lamb, so that we can Live with both Our Father and Christ, both who are without Sin.

Eternally in Heaven ❤️ forever.

We can Rejoice and be glad.

When we Repent.

Then from heaven, your dwelling place, hear their prayer and their pleas, and uphold their cause. And forgive your people, who have sinned against you.

2 Chronicles 6:39

Repentance is not a one off thing….

You should do it whenever the situation calls for it.

God always hears us…✝️
