POEM

Smoking
I take a deep breath in,
It’s filled with dirty Smoke.
I let a deep breath out,
and exhale the smokers’ toke.
It grips me like a vice,
I so badly want it gone.
This sin it has engulfed me,
and cut me to the bone.
It tangles the Spirit inside me,
like a vine wraps round a tree.
It wraps me up so tightly,
how can I, ever be, set free?
Your forgiveness, l need, Oh Lord,
for this thing that I have done.
So, you sent for me, your one true Love,
your only begotten Son.
He died to save me, from myself
and every single thing, I do.
To teach me, love and protect me,
so now this knowledge, I give to you.
