The Power of the Cross.
Sanctifies us from the hold of sin over us, and the hunger for sin within us.
Environment does not pollute us,we pollute the environment.
The two greatest sins committed by Christians today, that keep them from experiencing the abundance of God’s Blessings,is bringing curses upon nations.
Is materialism and religion.
The lust of the eyes,wanting Things,Money,Position,Status,Power,Instant gratification,Privilege,To be served,In control,Disobedient etc..
These things are not from God.
We already have all those things and more,in our relationship with Christ.
May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me,
and I to the world.
Religion is people having the pride of life.
Thinking that they know more than someone else,
and treating others with contempt.
Remaining always unteachable and unchanging.
Believing that they know more about God and life,
than anyone else.
Then looking down their noses,
at others because of it.
They believe they do not have to listen to anyone else.
They are Judgmental and critical towards others
by being nasty, spiteful, vindictive, hateful, and completely unloving.
They decide that being gay or having an abortion,
being addicted to pornography or drugs,
being in prison or homeless,
means that these people are below them and are evil!
This is so untrue…
We all fall short of the Glory of God.
People make mistakes but people can also change, sometimes they just need someone to show them the way the Truth and the life…
Paul is the perfect example.
He was guilty of the worst things against followers of Christ.
Meanwhile,Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples.
He went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus,
so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women,
he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem.Acts 9:1-2
as I was on the road,
I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun,
blazing around me and my companions.
We all fell to the ground,
and I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic,
why do you persecute me?
It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’
“Then I asked,
‘Who are you, Lord?’
I am Jesus,
whom you are persecuting,’
the Lord replied.
Now get up and stand on your feet.
I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen and will see of me.
I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles.
I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light,
and from the power of Satan to God,
so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
What gives you the right,to persecute others.
When you also were in the dark,
but were saved by the light.
You can’t argue with those people.
When they came to the other disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and the teachers of the law arguing with them.Mark 9:14
These Christians will, don’t judge me!!
They should read their Bible..
Because scripture says…
What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?
1 Corinthians 5:12
Look at yourselves, that’s who you should be judging.
Not others.Look at the motives of your own heart and look at your own lives.
The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately wicked:
who can know it?
“You stiff-necked people!Your hearts and ears are still uncircumcised. You are just like your ancestors:
You always resist the Holy Spirit!
You brood of vipers,
how can you who are evil say anything good?
For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.
But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.
For by your words you will be acquitted,
and by your words you will be condemned.”
We are to become more and more like our Messiah.
Growing and changing.
And we all,who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord,
who is the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:18
Do not conform to the pattern of this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is
pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2
Thus,by their fruit you will recognise them.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy,
gentleness and self-control.
Against such things there is no law.
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Since we live by the Spirit,
let us keep in step with the Spirit.
Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
